Caret Bug Reports
If you encounter a bug in Caret (crashes or does not function as expected), you can file a bug report. Your bug report should be posted to the Caret User's Mailing List. You must sign up to the Caret User's Mailing List to post a message.
Prior to submitting a bug report, verify that you are using the latest version of Caret. The version of Caret is at the top of Caret's Main Window. If you are not using the latest version of Caret, download it, and see if the problem still occurs.
Search the change log to see if the problem has been fixed.
If you are on Linux, bad graphics card drivers may cause drawing problems, random crashes, and crash the windowing system. Download and install the latest graphics drivers from the manufacturer of your graphics card.

Uploading Data that Causes the Problem
It is often helpful to have data that reproduces the problem. Put together the files that are needed to reproduce the problem and place them in a ZIP file. Please only include the files that need to be loaded into caret5 to reproduce the problem. If the problem occurs on the command line in a script, include only that part of the script that causes the problem.
The ZIP file can be uploaded using the [upload] page.
